Thanks to the World of Beer (WoB) and Samuel Adams, my wife and I are off to Munich for Oktoberfest 2019. One year ago, WoB announced the contest – the prize was a FREE trip for two to Munich for Oktoberfest 2019. Like most of the friends I meet with on Tuesdays at the Brownwood World of Beer in The Villages, Florida, I entered. We each drank all four specific Samuel Adams beers during the next month. To my surprise, I won.

Now it’s a year later. The two week festival known as Oktoberfest opened in Munich on September 21. My wife and I are leaving for Munich on Friday, September 27.
